Hunter Renfrow Las Vegas Raiders

Sure, we can gloss over all of the issues this team had in Week 2 because of the slaughter fest the Buffalo Bills put on the Las Vegas Raiders, but one thing that cannot be ignored once again is the situation with Hunter Renfrow.

No, there is no drama. There is no situation similar to Chandler Jones where the team has decided not to play him. Hunter Renfrow simply isn't getting the ball, which is absolutely crazy.

It's happened for two straight weeks now, and it's an issue. Sure, there are much bigger issues to be worried about after that terrible loss, but this one certainly stands out.

Josh McDaniels addressed the situation recently.

"There's been some missed opportunities on our part, but I don't think that's a function of Hunter," said McDaniels. "He should've gotten the ball more than he did yesterday; I think there were more opportunities than that."

Renfrow is being paid $32.3 million, and for what? In Week 1, Renfrow played 22% of offensive snaps, and this week, he played 65% of offensive snaps. Week 2 was much better, but there is no reason he should have gone through all of Week 1 without a target and then one target in garbage time against the Bills.

If they aren't going to use him now that he is healthy, it may be better to just trade him, so at least you get something. A handful of teams could use another guy like Renfrow, like maybe the Houston Texans or even the Carolina Panthers.

But McDaniels stated that they need to get him the ball more. So, before we start firing off any hot takes, maybe we should wait for this week against the Steelers.
