Former Tennessee Vols standout Byron Young has seen his NFL career get off to a nice start.
Young, a third round selection by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2023 NFL Draft, has totaled 14 tackles and two sacks through his first three games as a pro football player.
That's solid production for any player, let alone a rookie (especially a rookie who was an assistant manager at Dollar General just a few years ago, wondering if he'd get a chance to play football at a high level).
This past week, Young made his debut on Monday Night Football in the Rams' loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Young managed five tackles and a half sack against Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
On Wednesday, the Rams dropped a great "mic'd up" video of Young from Monday night.
Check it out:
Young looks like he has the potential to be a dangerous pass rusher in the NFL.
The former Vol is still raw as a player, which means there's plenty of room for the young pass rusher to grow.
