The Baltimore Ravens are "signing" Kyle Van Noy to their 53-man roster, as noted by the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Van Noy will be available for Baltimore in its upcoming road matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
The Ravens hosted Van Noy for a visit ahead of Week 4 and wound up signing him to their practice squad. The veteran linebacker was a regular in practice this past week, and he is now set to make his first appearance of the 2023 campaign.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh noted during a press conference on Friday that should Baltimore activate Van Noy to its 53-man roster for Week 4, the two-time Super Bowl champion would be "ready."
The Ravens’ reported call to elevate Van Noy to their active roster comes as they have been hit quite hard with injuries at the linebacker position. Among them, they will be without Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo against the Browns due to their ankle injuries. The two linebackers did not take part in any of Baltimore’s three practice sessions this past week.
Van Noy last featured for the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2022 campaign, where he tallied 46 total tackles and 5.0 sacks in 17 regular season games played. He has 141 games of experience in the NFL, including the playoffs.
Overall, Van Noy has recorded seven total tackles and 2.0 sacks in three games played against Cleveland.
