The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins are about to square off in Orchard Park for a game that has all the makings to be an instant classic.
It's a race for first place in the AFC East as the Dolphins (3-0) and the Bills (2-1) each have something to prove in the contest. Are Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill going to be too much for the Jordan Poyer-less defense? Can Josh Allen have yet another dominant game against the fish?
Here's a breakdown of the inactive players from both teams heading into the contest.
Bills:
- S Jordan Poyer
- CB Kaiir Elam
- G Germain Ifedi
- T Alec Anderson
- DT Poona Ford
Dolphins:
- QB Skylar Thompson
- LB Jaelan Phillips
- S Deshon Elliott
- CB Eli Apple
- OL Connor Williams
- TE Tyler Kroft
Observations:
Damar Hamlin finally gets his debut. While we don't know how much playing time he's going to get, the fact that he's active will give this team and crowd a huge boost heading into the matchup. It's the kind of thing they write stories about.
Outside of that, with Poyer unable to go, it'll be up to Taylor Rapp to try and help shut down this high-powered offense in Miami. Can he be the eventual Poyer or Hyde replacement? This game will be an excellent test for that.
The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins are both missing key guys as Miami is out an offensive lineman and a linebacker while Buffalo is missing their All-Pro Safety.
Bills’ Von Miller expected to resume practicing this week
The Buffalo Bills just got a huge boost to their defense.
