Jadeveon Clowney has continued to surpass expectations with the Baltimore Ravens this season.
Clowney is coming off of a prolific performance in Baltimore’s road win against the Los Angeles Chargers. He made the most out of the 36 snaps that he played on defense in the contest. The veteran outside linebacker recorded four quarterback pressures, three total tackles, 1.0 sacks, and one forced fumble against the Justin Herbert-led Chargers offense.
Clowney was simply all over the field on Sunday.
Clowney has shown this year that he still has plenty left in the tank at this stage in his career. As noted by Pro Football Focus’ official X account, the 10th-year pass rusher ranks seventh in the NFL in quarterback pressures with 55. Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons sits atop this leaderboard with 71 such pressures.
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta brought in Clowney in August with the hope that he could bolster the team’s depth within its front seven. To the delight of the Ravens front office, Clowney has turned back the clock. He has already tallied more sacks this season (7.5) than he had in the entirety of his final campaign with the Cleveland Browns (2.0).
Clowney and the Ravens will return to action in Week 14 with a home matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
