The NFL has taken notice of something that Houston Texans fans have already known. Simply put, C.J. Stroud is it.

Houston’s rookie quarterback has been named the AFC Player of the Month for November. Additionally, Stroud was named the NFL Rookie of the Month.

In November, Stroud threw for 1,466 yards, which was the most in the NFL. His 10 touchdown passes led the AFC for the month. The rookie phenom became the first rookie quarterback to throw for at least 300 yards in four straight games.

Stroud is just the second rookie quarterback to be named Player of the Month, he joins Deshaun Watson as the only two to ever do it. Watson won the award in October of 2017 with Houston.

On the season, Stroud has 3,266 passing yards and 19 touchdowns with just five interceptions. Houston has a 6-5 record and is making a run for the playoffs. Not many people gave the Texans a shot at that before the season.

Stroud is having an elite season as a rookie and looks like he could soon be one of the best in the game. Houston hit big with the pick, even if he wasn’t the first quarterback selected in April’s draft.
