Well, the help comes riding in.

Ahead of a Sunday matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Carolina Panthers activated cornerback Jaycee Horn, defensive back Jeremy Chinn, and outside linebacker Yetur Gross-Matos from injured reserve.

For Horn, it will be his first game since his injury in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. The Panthers couldn't be any happier.

Meanwhile, Chinn and Gross-Matos have been out since the Week 7 bye.

Their return is welcomed for a Panthers team that has dealt with its lion-share of drama in the past week.

Carolina canned its coach on Monday, after a lifeless loss to the hapless Tennessee Titans.

With the firing came a strange David Tepper press conference, where it appeared that the owner wanted to take accountability for the team's lack of success, but managed to talk his way out of it.

Then came the shake-up with the staff and the implementation of interim coach Chris Tabor.

Getting three starters back is just the news the Panthers needed after what has been another dark week for the franchise — a feeling that is all too familiar Charlotte.
