Stefon Diggs might play on the offensive side of the ball, but he made a defensive impact last week in the Buffalo Bills' 32-6 win against the New York Jets.

Well, kinda.

The Bills' game against the Jets was defensive back Rasul Douglas' third game with the team since arriving via a trade with the Green Bay Packers.

Douglas came down with two interceptions and a fumble recovery in the win against the Jets.

The former West Virginia standout told reporters on Wednesday that a pep talk with Diggs before the Bills' game against the Denver Broncos two weeks ago helped him settle into his role in Buffalo's defense.

"I just wasn't being me," said Douglas. "I was trying to show that I understood the defense and I knew what I was supposed to do….Diggs just grabbed me before the game (against Denver) and was like 'Bro, we brought you here to be you, don't be out there thinking, play your game, you got the defense, you know it…be you'. So I just kinda keep taking that approach of just being me and making plays."

The talk clearly worked (Douglas also a fumble recovery against the Broncos). And now Douglas is poised to be an important defensive player for Bills as they chase the Miami Dolphins in the AFC East over the final stretch of the season.
