Most would expect the Carolina Panthers to pack up shop and go home with a 1-9 record.

But, unlike most losing teams, Carolina isn't playing out the string.

On Friday, Panthers head coach Frank Reich offered insight into the current state of affairs for the team. And despite the continued disappointment, Reich said there is still belief among the coaches and the team.

"The resolve is there, the determination, the fire in the belly — all those things," Reich said. "This is a highly motivated locker room group. It’s been a tough year so far, but there’s still a lot of football left. We understand that comes one week at a time."

The Panthers are playing the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. Tennessee holds a 3-7 record, but any Mike Vrabel coaches group is going to be a tough out.

It will be a test of how hard the Panthers are willing to play against another team that is really playing for the offseason.

To claim a second win, Reich knows that he has to have Carolina prepared for what Vrabel and his coaching staff will have to offer.

"We understand we’re going up against a tough, physical team," Reich said. "So, we need to come out there and compete. We have to compete hard on every play and execute at a high level. Very motivated to get things going in the right direction."

Carolina at 1-9 doesn't want to be an easy out anyone. Reich seems deadset on making sure the team won't be mailing it in to end the season.
