Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin loves to tweet about the Tennessee Vols.
So it should come as no surprise that Kiffin has tweeted photo evidence of several of his recent trips to Knoxville.
The three Knoxville related tweets in three days had Vols fans wondering this week what Kiffin is up to.
And that's led to a theory that could prove to be a reality in the coming days/weeks.
The assumption, of course, is that Kiffin is traveling to Knoxville to see a Tennessee player that's in the NCAA transfer portal. And the best guess/theory is that Kiffin is checking in on Vols defensive lineman Tyler Baron, who recently entered the portal.
Baron, who has 13.5 sacks during his four season at Tennessee, has NFL talent/size. He's definitely a player that's going to receive some Power-5/SEC interest. And he's a Knoxville native so it would make sense that Kiffin is traveling to East Tennessee to see him after he's already entered the portal.
This is mostly speculation for now, but it's clear that Kiffin is definitely up to something with all of these visits to Knoxville.
Update:
It looks like this is no longer speculation as 247Sports is reporting that Baron will visit Ole Miss on Thursday.
