The Tennessee Vols reportedly lost an on off-field assistant to the Oklahoma Sooners this past week.
According to OUInsider.com, offensive analyst Jack Lowary has left his role with Tennessee to join the Sooners as an offensive analyst working with quarterbacks.
Lowary is a former Missouri quarterback who played for the Tigers when Vols head coach Josh Heupel was the offensive coordinator in Columbia.
Tennessee offensive coordinator Joey Halzle referenced Lowary ahead of the start of the 2023 season.
"The guys I have working with me in the quarterback room, Mitch (Militello) and Jack (Lowary), are amazing," said Halzle in August. "They do a great job, trust them completely and wholeheartedly."
At Oklahoma, Lowary will work under offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Seth Littrell, who was teammates at OU with Heupel during the Sooners' national championship run in 2000.
As Lowary climbs the coaching ladder, he'll be a name to watch for future opportunities at Tennessee.
