The Denver Broncos lost big time to the Detroit Lions on Saturday, but that doesn't mean everything is coming to an end. That doesn't mean that the dream of a playoff berth, their first since Super Bowl 50, since 2015, is just a dream. Even at 7-7, that "dream" is very much still obtainable.

Now, the Broncos will need help from other teams. They will need certain teams to lose and certain teams to win. They need the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, and Buffalo Bills to lose some games.

The Broncos have made it this far, too far, to let this one bad game keep them from the playoffs, and one of their star players feels the exact same way. Courtland Sutton gave a powerful message about the team's mindset after the crucial loss to a really good Lions team.

"Look at everything we've done so far," Sutton said after the game. "This team has rallied and fought back throughout the entire season. I don't know why anything would change after this game."

The Broncos started 1-5 and have since won six games. They are sitting at 7-7, which is on pace for far better than the Broncos did last year with just five total wins. It's clear Sean Payton has this franchise in the right direction. If the Broncos make the playoffs, this team and the city of Denver will go absolutely nuts.
