The New York Jets have had quite the quarterback conundrum this season. After Aaron Rodgers was injured in his first game with the team, Zach Wilson re-emerged as the starter by default for the Jets.

It's been a tumultuous season for Wilson once again, and that took another step forward in Week 15. Down by 24 late in the second quarter, New York swapped QBs. They put in veteran Trevor Siemian as Wilson headed to the locker room.

NFL insider Jeff Darlington documented the updates he received from the team on Twitter. Check them out below.

It's tough to get a read on what happened with Wilson.

The most likely scenario is that he was getting evaluated for a concussion on multiple occasions. Of course, there will be plenty of skepticism from fans, though. Those murmurs will be even stronger after rumors of Wilson potentially choosing not to play in past week due to his strained relationship with the Jets.

Regardless, New York is basically out of playoff contention with the loss. Hopefully for them, Aaron Rodgers can return at full strength next season.
