It's been a long recovery process for Indianapolis Colts rookie CB Juju Brents.

But he took a massive step towards returning to the field on Thursday.

Brents suffered a quad injury during the team's Week 7 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The Colts didn't expect Brents to need this long to recover, as they elected not to place him on the IR to open up a roster spot and shut Brents down for at least four weeks.

But as it was, Brents took more time than the team expected, as it took six weeks and five missed games just for him to return to practice. All eyes will now be on whether or not Brents will be able to make his return to game action in Week 14 or if he will need to miss his sixth straight game. His practice on Thursday gives him a chance to play this week, and the next step will be showing progress during Friday's practice. To at least lead the team to ruling him questionable for their Week 14 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.
