The Tennessee Vols football program received some great news on Friday evening to kick off the weekend.

Tennessee announced that linebacker Keenan Pili will return to UT for the 2024 season.

Pili, a BYU transfer, was injured in Tennessee's season-opening win in Nashville against the Virginia Cavaliers. He missed the final 11 games of the regular season.

According to Tennessee's athletics department, Pili was granted a waiver by the NCAA for a seventh season of eligibility due to missing nearly the entire 2023 season.

Pili started his collegiate career at BYU in 2016. He served on a two-year mission trip before returning to action in 2019.

Pili's return instantly bolsters Tennessee's linebacker group.
