The New York Giants got their second win in a row in Week 12. They beat the New England Patriots, 10-7, in a defensive battle.
Accordingly, Giants head coach Brian Daboll gave the game ball to defensive coordinator Wink Martindale.
Why is that noteworthy?
Well, before the game, there were reports of disagreements and frustration between Daboll and Martindale.
Jay Glazer reported the 'tension' that he believes has been going on between the Giants staff members.
"When I talk to people inside that organization they're saying the tension between these two, you could feel it." — Glazer on Daboll/Martindale
It certainly did not seem like the two parties had much tension after the victory. Of course, winning cures a lot, but their interaction was wholesome.
Daboll doubled down on their relationship when asked about it post-game as well. He said that their biggest argument has been who gets the last slice of pizza.
The situation is worth keeping an eye on, but Daboll made it clear that he was thankful for Martindale's performance this week.
