One of the Tennessee Vols' top 2025 recruiting targets is nearing a decision and he says there are "three real contenders" in his recruitment.
2025 five-star quarterback George MacIntyre took a visit to LSU this past weekend. And he told On3 that it was his last visit before making a decision.
“I don’t plan to take anymore visits,” said MacIntyre. “I feel like I am in a good spot. There are three real contenders and I love it at LSU. They have been hovering around the top for a while now.”
The three "real contenders" for MacIntyre are believed to be Alabama, LSU, and Tennessee.
MacIntyre, 6-foot-5/182 lbs from Brentwood, TN, most recently visited the Volunteers for their game against Georgia.
The highly coveted recruit is rated by 247Sports as the No. 2 quarterback in the nation and the No. 10 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.
Tennessee is still perceived as the favorite, but Alabama is right there. And LSU clearly made a good impression. I'd still bet on the Vols winning this recruiting battle, but it's far from a "done deal".
