The Tennessee Vols made a big addition to their roster last weekend by landing Middle Tennessee State transfer safety Jakobe Thomas.
Thomas, who was previously committed to Oregon State, is a 6-foot-1/198 lb defensive back who has two years of eligibility remaining.
This past season, Thomas started 10 games at MTSU.
A big reason why Thomas flipped from Oregon State to Tennessee is because he's from Tullahoma, TN, which is about three hours southwest of Knoxville.
Thomas called UT "home" after announcing his decision to join the Vols.
And it appears that he's already all-in on being a Vol.
"I bleed orange and white," tweeted Thomas on on Thursday evening.
The Vols needed some experience in their safety room after losing several veteran defensive backs to the transfer portal. Thomas, who is clearly happy with his decision to transfer to Tennessee, will have a chance to play a key role for the Vols next fall.
