The Seattle Seahawks feel like they have been at a crossroads several times this season.
In some weeks, the Seahawks have been able to overcome adversity, win against good teams, and then make themselves look like obvious playoff contenders in a strange NFC. In other weeks, Seattle loses in dramatic fashion, and that creates questions about what they can actually do this postseason.
The good news for Seattle is the worst of their schedule is over and they still sit at 7-7 and within striking distance of a playoff spot. Their final three games against some of the worst teams in the NFL should help that endeavor.
The only thing standing between the Seahawks and a very likely spot in the playoffs is a three-game stretch against the Titans, Steelers, and the Cardinals.
There probably hasn't been an easier stretch for Seattle in several years.
All three of these teams have massive issues in their franchises from coaching to quarterback play, and none should have the legs to keep up with what the Seahawks can do on both sides of the ball.
In truth, this is a perfect "gift" for the NFL to give Seattle. Sure, this year has been far from perfect, but it was never about winning a Super Bowl this year. However, making the playoffs is a pretty good place to start as far as expectations are concerned, and that (and then some) is on the table.
Winning three games (where the Seahawks should be large favorites) should be pretty straightforward and would be the perfect way to get some momentum heading into the first round of the playoffs.
Christmas may come early for the Seahawks. The just need to start their three-game run with a win against the Titans.
