Two of the Tennessee Vols' biggest rivals lost five-star commits on the same day.
Earlier on Monday, five-star safety Xavier Filsaime flipped his commitment from Florida to Texas.
Filsaime, 6-foot-1/180 lbs from McKinney, TX, had been committed to the Gators since April. He's rated as the No. 2 safety in the nation and the No. 30 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class.
Later on Friday afternoon, five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola flipped his commitment from Georgia to Nebraska.
Raiola, who had been committed to Georgia since May, is rated as the No. 2 quarterback in the nation and the No. 6 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-3/230 lb quarterback decommitted from Georgia just hours after quarterback Carson Beck announced his return to Athens for the 2024 season.
Raiola's father, Dominic, is a former Nebraska star who had his jersey retired two decades ago. Additionally, Raiola's uncle, Donovan, is the Cornhuskers' offensive line coach. So it's not totally random that Raiola landed with Nebraska.
