The Las Vegas Raiders are trying to find out who will lead their team next season and potentially for the foreseeable future. As things stand right now, the Raiders are pursuing two main candidates.
The first one is obviously interim head coach Antonio Pierce, whom fans are scared the Raiders will pass on as they did with Rich Bisaccia. The other is none other than Jim Harbaugh, who has connections back to the franchise as well.
So, this decision could take some time. As they usually are, the fan base is pretty split on who they want as the head coach, but it seems there is an overwhelming amount of fans who want Harbaugh as the head coach, and a huge reason why is because of the success he has had in the NFL, and now in the NCAA.
But, the fans and Raiders aren't the only ones who want Harbaugh. Other teams definitely want him, and he wants one other team too.
Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report reported that Jim Harbaugh and the Raiders have mutual interests in one another. That's great. But he also reported that Harbaugh also has a lot of interest in the Los Angeles Chargers job.
For the Chargers, he would already have an elite quarterback, and they would likely give him full reign of everything. The Raiders don't have that quarterback, but he would get the opportunity to pick his quarterback in the draft.
This is just one of the many reports and rumors we will get between now and the time they make the hire they need to. They have already started the search for a new GM by requesting interviews, and now the coaching rumors will start.
Antonio Pierce is already making Raiders’ history
