Sunday's game was truly a highlight for the Buffalo Bills this season. And when it came down to the final minutes, they proved themselves to be top contenders in the playoffs.
Following their win, NFL Films released a powerful video showing the drive that resulted in the game-winning touchdown. And before it all started, Stefon Diggs sent a message to Josh Allen that clearly inspired the quarterback.
"Hey! Don't force it, but this next drive, put the dagger in 'em," Diggs said to Allen on the sideline. "This is when a good team shows they're a good team."
The game did not start well for Allen and he admitted that after the game, claiming he "was beating" the team.
The Bills got off to a strong start, intercepting Tua Tagovailoa on the Dolphins opening drive of the game. Allen then lead the Bills down the field, but on 3rd and goal, he was intercepted by Eli Apple.
Buffalo's defense was able to hold up, forcing the Dolphins to punt, but things didn't get much better.
The Bills went for it on 4th and 2 on their second drive of the game, but Allen was once again intercepted.
Allen is always the first to step up and take accountability following games. And Diggs is a player who doesn't sugercoat anything. He often shows his emotions on the sidelines.
That much was clear in this video
And it all worked out, with the Bills getting their fourth consecutive AFC East title, earning the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
This team will need both Allen and Diggs to play their best during the playoffs, so expect more sideline interactions like this.
