Dalvin Cook took part in his first practice session with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday.

Cook ended up featuring in a few individual drills on the day.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh kept a watch on Cook throughout the practice session, and he came away with a few takeaways from the four-time Pro Bowler’s outing.

"We view [Dalvin Cook] as a very valuable or potentially valuable weapon on our offense," Harbaugh said during a press conference on Wednesday. "So, obviously, Dalvin Cook is a high-pedigree player — highly decorated player — and he still has talent and ability, and he’s smart. He’s in great shape, he’s in football shape. He’s been playing football [and] looked very good in practice out here today.

"So, I think he’s going to be a valuable part of our team and the playoffs here."

The Ravens announced last Friday that they officially signed Cook to their practice squad. Lamar Jackson was quite ecstatic when he first heard that the veteran running back decided to take his talents to Baltimore.

"I’m really excited," Jackson said on Wednesday. "I was happy about the situation. I reached out to him before the season when he was signing with the Jets before. God works in mysterious ways, and he’s here now. So, that’s cool.

"… I believe when he gets his opportunity and his number’s called, he’s going to do what he does, 'Cook up.'"

Cook sure is looking to be elevated to Baltimore’s active roster for its AFC divisional round matchup later this month.
