Myles Garrett put together another dominant season for the Cleveland Browns, and for his on-field efforts, he is being awarded.

Pro Football Focus named Garrett the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year, with a 94 PFF grade.

Garrett has long been the leader of the Browns' defense. Though his dominance is well accounted for, his counting stats don't always capture the essence of his importance to Cleveland.

It isn't the only award Garrett has garnered for his play in the 2023 season. He was also named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster alongside edge rushers like Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson.

Garrett finished the year seventh in the league in sacks with 14. He also forced four fumbles, good enough for fifth in the league.

Those aren't numbers that will jump off the page for an edge rusher, but that doesn't tell the complete story of what Garrett means to Cleveland.

It is good to see PFF giving Garrett his flowers for the level of play he's sustained throughout the season.
