Last night was a special one for the Cleveland Browns when they clinched a spot in the playoffs for the second time in four years.

The Browns haven’t done that since the 1980s and accomplishing that is a testament to the turnaround this franchise has had.

One big reason for the success as of late is QB Joe Flacco, who once again stepped up and made things happen for the Browns. It still may be a bit surreal that Flacco is leading the Browns to the playoffs because it’s something no one saw coming. Flacco’s former teammate and Jets LB C.J. Mosley was just as surprised as the rest of us.

“Who would have thought that the f****** Browns would be screaming your name? That s*** is crazy,” Mosley said after the game to Flacco, via the Amazon Prime broadcast.

Flacco’s former teammate, Mosley, made his impact against the Browns with eight tackles and a forced fumble. Though, it was Flacco who would have the last laugh with the win. Mosley and Flacco spent 2014-18 together with the Baltimore Ravens.

You will see multiple members of the Jets lineup to dap up Flacco after the game and that just goes to show the respect he still has in this league. Just a couple of months ago, Flacco was on his couch watching football on Sundays. Now, he’s leading the Browns who are very hot right now heading into January.

Flacco tossed three touchdowns and had 309 yards through the air in the Week 17 victory. All of Cleveland’s points and 296 of his passing yards came in the first half when the Jets were just shell-shocked from the get-go.

There is no expectation on how far Flacco will take the Browns, this is why it’s fun for Browns’ fans right now. With all of the injuries that the team has, to be 11-5 on the season goes to show how the locker room is built.

If last night after the game was any indication, other players around the league are just as shocked as anyone else with what Flacco is doing in The Land.
