Despite the ups and downs, this has been a good overall season for the Seattle Seahawks.

We could go back and forth about some of the misses, but at the end of the day, Seattle is largely in control of its playoff destiny, and that is all anyone could ask for at this point in the year.

If the Seahawks win tomorrow, they are all but in the playoffs. If they lose, this season could end in major disappointment.

As the year comes to a close, every game is about to start mattering much more than some of the ones early in the year.

Some of these games are going to start eliminating teams from the playoff field, and one has to think that tomorrow could be very impactful for a lot of teams with so many franchises within reach of the playoffs.

For some teams, like the Seahawks, if you win, you're in. There is no better place to be.

According to the NFL Playoff Picture right now, the Seahawks have an 87% chance of making the playoffs with a win over the abysmal Steelers tomorrow. However, a loss will put them at just a 41% chance of reaching the promised land. That is a pretty massive shift.

Still, that is exactly what you want as a team at this part of the season. You don't want to rely on other teams or other results. Good teams want total control of their future, and that is basically what the Seahawks have going into tomorrow with an 87% chance of making the playoffs on the line.

A 46% playoff swing is pretty dramatic. If the Seahawks want to keep enjoying their holidays, only one result is acceptable.
