Tennessee Vols QB Nico Iamaleava had quite the afternoon in his first career start. The freshman signal caller accounted for four total touchdowns against the Iowa Hawkeyes' stout defense in Tennessee's 35-0 romp in the Citrus Bowl on Monday.
As it turns out, those weren't the only Iowa Hawkeyes affected by the young quarterback's strong play. Former Iowa tight end and current San Francisco 49ers superstar George Kittle put up a post on his Instagram page in Vols gear with a note for Peyton Manning.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the two had a bet on the game that's seen from time to time among NFL players – the loser had to wear the winner's school colors.
Kittle played for the Hawkeyes from 2012 to 2016, after which he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In the NFL, he's been one of the top players at the position, earning first-team All-Pro honors in 2019 and making the Pro Bowl four times.
Now, the NFL standout is eating a plate of orange-and-white-colored crow at the hands of Iamaleava and the Volunteers. And Peyton Manning showed his appreciate of Kittle's post shortly after he put it up. Kittle responded acknowledging the forced nature of his participation in the aftermath of the bet.

A tough thing to do, but Kittle certainly showed he's indeed a man of his word. Fortunately for Kittle, unless Iowa and Tennessee meet in the postseason again at some point over the next few years, he won't have to worry about putting on Tennessee orange again at the hands of Iamaleava and the Volunteers.
