The Baltimore Ravens have come to terms on a free agent deal with running back Dalvin Cook, as noted by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

At the moment, it is unknown whether the Ravens will bring Cook to either their active roster or practice squad. The Ravens currently do not have an opening on their 53-man roster, while safety Jeremy Lucien filled the last available spot on their 16-man practice squad on Wednesday.

Cook is just coming off of a lackluster run with the New York Jets. He put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Jets in August, which came on the heels of a six-year run with the Minnesota Vikings. The four-time Pro Bowler did not factor much into the Jets’ game plan on offense. He played in just 202 snaps on offense, and he posted career lows in several stats, including in yards from scrimmage (292) and rushing yards (214).

Cook’s run with the Jets came to a close on Tuesday, as the two sides mutually agreed to part ways. The veteran running back allowed the Jets to restructure his contract to forfeit any remaining guarantees.

Cook wound up going unclaimed on waivers on Thursday. It did not take him long to find a new home in the NFL, as he is reportedly now a member of the Ravens organization.

The Ravens now have a total of six running backs as options for their upcoming playoff run. Gus Edwards and Justice Hill have led Baltimore’s No. 1 ranked rush offense this season. Baltimore has also called on Melvin Gordon, who has filled in for Keaton Mitchell since the rookie sustained a season-ending knee injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars last month.

The Ravens also have a pair of running backs in Jake Funk and Owen Wright on their practice squad.
