The Indianapolis Colts (9-7) are hosting the Houston Texans (9-7) in a winner gets in Week 18 matchup.

And it feels like it's about time that I share some of my predictions for this game.

Defense Prediction:

Colts sack Stroud 4 or more times

It can't be overstated how important the Colts ability to generate pressure in Week 18 will be. If they give rookie QB C.J. Stroud time in the pocket, he will be able to pick apart the Colts heavy zone scheme. In their first matchup with the Texans in Week 2, they were able to sack Stroud six times, which forced him to struggle early on. The Colts took the early lead and never gave it up. I believe that success is something the Colts will look to replicate and bring pressure early and often. I have it leading to the Colts combining for at least four sacks on the day.

Offense Prediction:

Josh Downs goes for 100 yards and a touchdown

There's been a lot of talk this week about former Colts WR and known "Texans Killer" T.Y. Hilton. While he is no longer with the Colts to terrorize the Texans, I believe this game could be the beginning of a new player taking on that role. The Texans will likely focus on Colts star WR Michael Pittman Jr. and likely have their impressive 2nd year CB Derek Stingley Jr shadow him throughout the game. But I think the real weapon that will lead the Colts offense today is rookie WR Josh Downs. I think we see him go for over 100 yards on the day and find the endzone at least once. And will become the next Colts WR to give the Texans and their fans nightmares.

Score Prediction:

Colts 30 Texans 24

The most important prediction for this one is who will win. The national media is rolling with the Texans and Stroud heavily. And while I believe this one can go either way, I see the Colts pulling out the win at home to punch their ticket to the playoffs. I think this is an opportunity for the Colts to wash away the late-season collapses in recent years and show that the Steichen-led Colts are not the Colts of old. I think the Colts are ready and motivated for this moment. And I have the Colts winning this one 30 to 24.
