After locking down a playoff spot hours before their Sunday night clash against the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills only had one thing on their mind.

That was to win the AFC East.

And there were very successful with that, defeating the Dolphins 21-14 at Hard Rock Stadium. With that, they secured the No. 2 spot in the AFC playoff picture.

This has not been an easy season for the Bills, but it all seems worth it now. Every loss made them a stronger team. And now they are the second best heading into the playoffs. Only the Baltimore Ravens are above them in the standings.

This is the fourth straight season that the Bills have won the AFC East, proving to be the most dominant team in the division since Tom Brady left the New England Patriots.

Allen led the way for the team, finishing with 359 passing yards and two passing touchdowns along with 15 carries for 67 rushing yards. One of his passing touchdowns went to Trent Sherfield, who made an impressive grab in the back of the end zone, just barely getting two feet down. Dawson Knox was on the receiving side of the other.

But special teams also deserves a shout out, with Deonte Harty returning a punt from the 4-yard line into the end zone early in the fourth quarter. Allen's pass to Knox came shortly after, solidifying the win.

With this spot, the Bills will now host the No. 7 Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

No. 6 Miami on the other hand will head to No. 3 Kansas City for a matchup against the Chiefs at 8 p.m. on Saturday. And they will have to play in frigid conditions.

So that win lets them play in front of home fans and not in those conditions. This makes the victory so much better.
