We have officially reached the penultimate week of the Pittsburgh Steelers regular season.
With a must-win game in Seattle ahead of them, Pittsburgh is opting to roll with the hot hand at QB and give Mason Rudolph his second start in a row.
But Kenny Pickett just proved he won't let his ankle injury derail any chance of him starting on Sunday:
Steelers Latest Injury Report, Week 17, Wednesday

Observations
- Kenny Pickett: Pickett returned to practice last week for the first time since ankle surgery but only in a limited capacity. This was followed by a report that Pickett would be ready to go for Seattle, with Coach Tomlin adding to the report saying: "We're in the same position with Kenny as last week, Mason will have the ball to start the week and we will see where Kenny is as the week goes on." On Wednesday, Pickett was seen moving around with ease and told the media he felt he could play this week. His practice status was limited, which is a positive sign for his development. We'll see if he can manage to practice in a full capacity and leave the Steelers with a tough decision to make.
- Minkah Fitzpatrick: After missing Saturday's game against the Bengals with a knee injury, Fitzpatrick is desperately needed back in a secondary down their top four safeties. Coach Tomlin looked into whether he would return or not, saying: "We'll see where the week takes us," regarding Fitzpatrick's ability in practice this week. On Wednesday, Fitzpatrick sat out again, leaving Thursday and Friday as pivotal to his availability.
- Elandon Roberts: Pittsburgh's last remaining LB from the offseason was lost to a pec injury on Saturday and one that looked of significance. Coach Tomin confirmed that today, saying "Elandon can be described as out this week." That was confirmed not only by the signing of a former Pro Bowler at the position but by his DNP on Wednesday.
