The Indianapolis Colts have lost two straight games and now sit at 3-4 on the season.

One glaring issue has been present in both losses that the Colts will have to improve on if they want to turn their season around.

Turnovers in the NFL can destroy a team's chances each week. And over the last two weeks, the Colts have seen QB Gardner Minshew have seven total turnovers, four interceptions, and three fumbles lost.

  • Week 6 @ Jacksonville Jaguars: 3 interceptions, 1 fumble lost
  • Week 7 Vs Cleveland Browns: 1 interception, 2 fumbles lost

Those seven turnovers have resulted in 34 points being scored by the opposing team. The Colts have had to figure out what their offense will be without rookie QB Anthony Richardson. In Week 7, it seems that the offense hit its stride against one of if not the best defenses in the entire NFL, as they put up 38 points with five touchdowns.

If it weren't for the turnovers, they wouldn't have found themselves in the position for controversial calls to have any impact on the outcome of their game. The result may have been devastating, but I truly believe the step forward this offense took can be huge for the rest of this season and on for the Shane Steichen-led offense.
