The Pittsburgh Steelers did a fantastic job slowing down Cooper Kupp and the Rams' passing attack on Sunday.

As for rookie WR Puka Nacua, the same can't be said.

That is, until Joey Porter Jr. was matched up on him, proving it may be time for Peezy Jr. to become the full-fledged starter:

Same Play, Different Result

Wallace has been average in zone coverage, with a few great plays against the Raiders in Vegas.

But he is part of the reason that the defense is so one-dimensional, as he simply can't be trusted to play man coverage, a skill that Joey Porter Jr. excels at:

In my opinion, the only reason that Joey Porter Jr. isn't starting right now is because of his woes as a tackler.

They were a problem over the summer, and have reared their head as he garners more snaps.

But he wasn't drafted to tackle, and he won't get a second contract based on how many tackles he has, but rather how well he covers.

And right now, he's certainly the Steelers' best cover corner, lending Levi Wallace as movable, potentially creating more draft capital for GM Omar Khan to use come draft season.
