We have talked about this many, many times before. But the Vegas Raiders need to trade Hunter Renfrow. He isn't necessarily doing anything bad, but the usage just isn't there for what they are paying him. Before, we talked about a potential trade to the Tennessee Titans.

There is no secret that something is going on between the Las Vegas Raiders and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. They are paying the man $32.3 million, and for what?

In Week 1, Renfrow played 22% of offensive snaps; this week, he played 65% of offensive snaps. Week 2 was much better, but there is no reason he should have gone through all of Week 1 without a target and then one target in garbage time against the Buffalo Bills.

Since then, he still hasn't been used how he should be for what the team is paying him. Instead, they are using really just two receivers: Davante Adams, who still isn't getting the touches he should, and Jakobi Meyers. So, something has to change. There is now a new trade idea I have come up with that could work for both sides.

Raiders could trade with Jets

The Raiders could send Hunter Renfrow to the New York Jets in this trade. Sure, they have a talented receiver corps, but how would they find ways to get Renfrow the ball with who they currently have? Renfrow plays in the slot, and the Jets' slot receiver in 2023 was supposed to be Mecole Hardman, who will probably be released or traded.

Now it's Randall Cobb, who, well, he's old, to put it nicely. Renfrow would be an instant upgrade and help Zach Wilson make things easier within the offense. Renfrow would add a $5.4 million cap impact to the Jets. But remember, because Aaron Rodgers took that pay cut, they have money to spend.

As for the Jets, this trade has them sending defensive end Carl Lawson to the Raiders. Lawson also needs a change of scenery, especially with all of the edge pass rushers the Jets have on that elite defense. They have a lot of young, promising guys, too.

The Raiders are having issues getting quarterback pressures from every player not named Maxx Crosby. Adam Butler played well last week, but that's always a hit or miss. Tyree Wilson was not ready to be thrusted into that full-time role, yet, he has been bad because of it. Lawson would be a guy to help both Wilson and Malcolm Koonce too.
