The Baltimore Ravens will face an NFC team for the first time this season in Week 7. The Ravens are set to host the Detroit Lions — who hold the top spot in the NFC North — on Sunday.
Lamar Jackson has had much success when going up against NFC opponents in his career. The two-time Pro Bowler boasts a 15-1 record as a starter against NFC teams, with seven such wins coming at home. Overall, he has tallied 24 touchdown passes in such contests.
Jackson’s .938 win percentage in career starts against NFC squads is the best by any quarterback when facing the opposing conference since 1970, as noted by ESPN Stats and Info.
Jackson has squared off with Detroit just once in his career. He recorded one passing touchdown and an 81.0 passer rating in Baltimore’s 19-17 win over Detroit in the 2021 season. The sixth-year passer did not have his best showing in the contest, but at the least, kicker Justin Tucker delivered for Baltimore with a game-winning, record-breaking 66-yard field goal.
The Ravens enter Week 7 sitting in first place in the AFC North standings with a 4-2 record.
