Just because you're a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers 53-man roster doesn't mean you'll be playing on Sundays, even if healthy.

That's because the NFL limits teams to 46 active players on game day.

So with the context clear, here are the inactives for today's matchup:

Steelers' Inactive players:

  • QB Mason Rudolph
  • CB Darius Rush
  • DT Breiden Fehoko
  • OT Dylan Cook

Rams' Inactive players:

  • EDGE Nick Hampton
  • RB Myles Gaskin
  • DL Larrell Murchison
  • OL Zach Thomas
  • OT Warren McClendon

Observations:

The Steelers may have made a splash when they poached Darius Rush off the Chiefs, but as evidenced by the pregame inactive list, Pittsburgh doesn't think he's ready to go yet which makes sense given the mid-week acquisition.

As for the Rams, it seems they will be going with rookie RB Zach Evans and former SB champion Darrell Henderson with Kyren Williams now officially on I.R
