Week 6 started a bit differently for the Carolina Panthers.

The offense was cooking and scored two touchdowns early. But not long after, things fell apart again. Midway through the second quarter, Laviska Shenault Jr. had his leg rolled on. He was taken to the locker room on a cart — never a good sign.

The Panthers updated the injury identification to an ankle injury, now a fibula injury.

It was previously reported that the Panthers identified that the injury to Shenault was a fibula injury.

Coming into the game, the Panthers running back room was already dealing with an injury to Miles Sanders.

Shenault was thrust into more running back duties as a result.

Already Shenault's presence as a threat out of the backfield was helping push the Panthers offense to its best start to this point in the season.
