Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens needed to come up big when it mattered vs. the Ravens. Luckily for Steelers fans, he did that:

But according to Pickens himself, that was pretty surprising:

"I'm A Little Surprised For Sure"

"Yeah, like, I'm always a little bit surprised when there's just a one-on-one matchup, no safety over top – with the long speed I have and then also the back shoulder game So if they're not doubling me, I'm a little surprised, for sure," Pickens told reporters after the game when asked about him being surprised about seeing man coverage.

But here's the thing, not only did Baltimore run man coverage, they ran cover 0, which is a defense designed to blitz and heat up the quarterback, leaving the corners in 1v1 scenarios on the perimeter.

Well, given the context of the game at that point, and with Pickens as the only real deep threat for Pittsburgh, to run man coverage is coaching malpractice. But to run cover 0 with no safety to help the corner covering Pickens, that's just downright disrespectful.

Baltimore dared Pickett to pull the trigger, he did, and the rest was history.
