Former Tennessee Vols cornerback Emmanuel Moseley suffered a heartbreaking season-ending injury in his return to the field on Sunday.
Moseley made his season debut for the Detroit Lions on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. The Greensboro, NC native, however, wasn't on the field for long as he went down with an injury in the first half.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Moseley tore his right ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.
The former Vol was making his return to the field after missing the first four games of the season while recovering from the torn ACL he suffered in his left knee last season while he was with San Francisco 49ers.
Moseley signed a free agent deal with the Lions in the offseason after spending the first five seasons of his career with the 49ers (Moseley was signed by San Francisco as an undrafted free agent in 2018).
