In the NFL or even football at any level, it is always about one week at a time. Not to look too far ahead, but the Browns’ Week 7 opponent just became a bit interesting.
The Indianapolis Colts will host the Browns that Sunday. When doing so, the Colts will be without their rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson.
According to Ian Rapoport, Richardson is dealing with a grade 3 AC joint sprain. The timetable for those injuries usually keeps you off of the football field for at least a month.
It will be Gardner Minshew starting in his place, who has already played the majority of three games with one of them being a start. Minshew defeated the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3. On the season, Minshew is completing 68 percent of his passes with a 2-0 touchdown to interception ratio.
Richardson was the Colts No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. So far, Richardson has three starts under his belt. Folks are high on what he can be down the road and it looks like the Browns won’t be seeing him during his rookie season at all.
