With Anthony Richardson officially going on IR, Gardner Minshew will be the Indianapolis Colts starting QB for at least the next four weeks.
This will help Minshew hit at least one of his contract incentives and potentially more.
As long as Minshew's health allows him to start the next four games, he would pass the 30% threshold and have him knocking on the door of 40%. The Colts could hold Richardson out even longer, which would only raise Minshew's chances of hitting more snap-based incentives.
Minshew is currently 3-0 in games he has had to take snaps as the Colts QB for at least a half. The team trusts Minshew's ability to fill in for Richardson and will be going into each game expecting to come out with a win.
