The Las Vegas Raiders have an absolute gem on their team. Of course, we know this roster is full of talent; it just seems to be the coaching that is holding them back, but that's a different story for another day. That is something that almost every Raiders fan agrees with.

They also all agree that Maxx Crosby is one of the baddest men on this planet when it comes to playing football. He gives off old-school vibes, where he is just all about football, not making friends with the opponent or anything like that.

He is off to a huge start in 2023-24. So far, he is having a Defensive Player of the Year type of season. However, he likely won't win the award because he is on a bad team, and the defense has only had one dominant game. In a way, the Raiders are wasting a perfect opportunity.

But, he is winning other awards, like Defensive Player of the Week, in which his most recent one, this week's award, set a Raiders' record.

Here is what the Raiders' PR team tweeted out about the accomplishment:

For his performance on MNF, Maxx Crosby has earned his fifth career AFC Player of the Week Award (4th Defensive POW). He is the first defender in Raiders history to earn four Defensive Player of the Week Awards.

The Raiders have had some amazing defensive players in their franchise's history. Just think of guys like Charles Woodson, Khalil Mack, Terry McDaniel, Greg Townsend, and I could keep going. Yet, none of those guys ever won four Defensive Player of the Week Awards.

The Raiders have a gem in Maxx Crosby. Let's hope they can keep him happy because it would be a shame for one of their best players to be in a different uniform, not wearing silver and black.
