While the victory over the Miami Dolphins was exciting, this week has been a mixed bag of emotions for Bills fans. To add to the hectic week, it's been announced that Greg Rousseau is out for their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ian Rapoport provided an update on the team who is looking to be without one of their key players heading into the matchup.
Rousseau had missed the previous two practices, putting his status for Sunday in doubt. Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that Rousseau would indeed be out for the contest.
What's more, with the obvious hit to the defensive line, the Bills Mafia was hoping that maybe Von Miller could be back in time for the London contest. McDermott provided an update there as well.
McDermott and the Bills front office are taking things "one day at a time" when looking at bringing back Miller to the field. With the loss of Rousseau for the contest, maybe there is a chance that Miller winds up on the field Sunday.
Crazier things have happened. Miller has been hyping up the fanbase, letting them know he's ready and wants to play in London. While he understands it's up to the team, he wants to play. This isn't the first time Miller has been incredibly optimistic about a return window. Just this past offseason he was getting the fanbase riled up with talks of returning Week 1.
While the team isn't in any hurry to get Miller back, they want to make sure he's 100% ready to go, this might just force their hand into Miller getting some kind of playing time in the matchup. McDermott even opened up, claiming that Rousseau being out doesn't impact the decision, but we have to take that with a grain of salt.
Miller wants to play, the team just went down a pass rusher, and this has all the makings for his much-anticipated return to football. Crazier things have happened.
