If shaky practices were beginning to become a narrative, Bryce Young put that to bed Thursday.
The second-year starter was sharp throughout the Carolina Panthers' joint practice with the New York Jets, earning praise from head coach Dave Canales – who is all about stacking good days.
“He came out, he was sharp, he was getting us in and out of the huddle, he’s accurate,” Canales said after practice. That’s Bryce. He loves it. When he gets challenged and the stakes rise, that’s him. He stays the same and continues to be accurate. I love the way he handled today.”

It is safe to say: Young was cooking. And he knew it, too.
“I liked how competitive we were,” Young said. "I think we started strong. I thought that we did a really good job as a unit."
It is a refreshing change of pace for the second-year quarterback who has thrown multiple interceptions in his last few practices.
