Earlier this week, On3's JD Pickell took a shot at predicting how the Tennessee Vols' 2024 regular season will play out.
Pickell predicted the Vols' final regular season record and which games they'll win/lose.
The On3 analyst has the Vols going 10-2 this fall.
Their only two losses?
Pickell thinks Tennessee will drop games to Alabama and Georgia.
"First year with Nico Iamaleava running the show, 10-2. I think if you offer any Tennessee fan that they take that tomorrow," said Pickell. "10-2 means you’re probably competing for a College Football Playoff spot. It also means that Nico is for real. All the hype, all the pressure, all the anticipation of what he was going to be, the No. 1 recruit in 2023, lives up to it. His first year as the guy.”
The Vols obviously have their sights set on winning every game in 2024. They believe in their ability to run the table. And maybe they will.
But going 10-2 with a redshirt freshman quarterback starting would still be a tremendous season. And it would show that Tennessee's momentum under Josh Heupel is very real.
Quote from Nico Iamaleava shows why Vols fans should no longer worry about a big issue that plagued Tennessee in 2022 and 2023
