The Tennessee Vols kicked off fall practice on Wednesday, exactly one month before their season kicks off on August 31 against Chattanooga.

On Thursday morning, Tennessee dropped an awesome mic'd up video of junior running back Dylan Sampson.

Sampson, who has developed into a key team leader for the Vols, can be seen in the video bringing plenty of energy while also helping coach his teammates.

Here's the video:

Sampson is going to be an incredibly important player for Tennessee in 2024. Not only is he an important leader, but he's also one of the team's best offensive players.

And he’ll be expected to take on a larger role in 2024 with former Vols running backs Jaylen Wright and Jabari Small moving on to the NFL.

"He’s a guy that was an explosive, explosive weapon for us," said Tennessee offensive coordinator Joey Halzle when asked about Sampson earlier this week. "He was one of our biggest big play guys. He understands that as the first guy on the field, now the rep count goes up. What he needed to do and he put on a bunch of weight this year in a positive way. Because knowing that the hits he’s going to take, all of that is going to change. He’s going to have more of them and he’s preparing himself starting in January to make sure that next January he’s still healthy, ready to go play.”

Cam Seldon, Peyton Lewis, DeSean Bishop, and Khalifa Keith will compete for carries behind Sampson.
