Following yesterday’s practice, Justin Herbert was diagnosed with an injury to the plantar fascia in his right foot.

Doctors have recommended approximately two weeks in a boot — followed by a graduated return to play protocol — with the expectation that he will be ready for the start of the regular season.

The Chargers currently expect Herbert to be ready for the regular season. Hopefully, he will make a timely and full recovery.

The team social media account posted a video of Herbert running for a touchdown on Wednesday.

There's plenty of excitement surrounding Herbert and Los Angeles with the hire of Jim Harbaugh as the team's new head coach. Now, there is a bit of anxiety regarding the beginning of the season.
