Philadelphia Eagles rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean was spotted at joint practice with the New England Patriots on Tuesday after being sidelined for three weeks with a hamstring injury.
While DeJean was in full pads, head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters that the rookie would work out individually for the day.
"He's going to get some individual work today, see how he feels," Sirianni said. "He's progressing nicely. And we'll get some individual work. Don't know about the team stuff yet. But let's see how he is through individual (work)."
Through OTAs and mandatory minicamps, the Eagles tested DeJean at cornerback, in the slot, and at safety, and according to multiple reports, the rookie looked solid everywhere he lined up.
With DeJean briefly sidelined, the Eagles have relied heavily on rookie Quinyon Mitchell, who has looked just as good.
The Eagles don't play their next preseason game until Thursday night, so there's a chance DeJean could be available by then which will definitely make the dept chart competition much more exciting if he returns to full speed.
Other players limited on Tuesday include wide receiver Parris Campbell (groin), cornerback Mehki Garner (hamstring), and linebacker Brandon Smith (concussion).
And for those Eagles who will not participate include linebacker Oren Burks (knee), tight end Grant Calcaterra (shoulder), safety CJ Gardner-Johnson (shoulder), tight end Albert Okwuegbunam (abdomen), and safety Caden Sterns (knee).
