There's a Joe Milton mystery floating around the internet this week and no one can seem to solve it.
Milton, a former Tennessee Vols standout who was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, saw his name go viral on Tuesday evening thanks to the latest episode of Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants.
A scene near the end of the episode this week showed the Giants' color-coded draft board.
Milton's name was the only one on the board that was yellow.
And everyone is trying to find out what it meant.
While no one seems to know what the yellow designation means, the internet managed to have some fun with it.
Some fans speculated that yellow meant a potential position change at the next level.
Just a couple of weeks before the 2024 NFL Draft, The Athletic's Dane Brugler noted that some NFL teams believe that Milton will eventually transition to tight end as a pro.
Milton, however, told reporters after he was drafted that a switch to tight end will "never happen".
As for the Giants' color coded draft board, maybe someone from the New York front office can let the rest of us know what in the world the yellow over Milton's name means at some point before the season gets underway.
