A former Tennessee Vols quarterback reportedly worked out for an NFL franchise this week as training camps get underway.

According to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, the New York Giants worked out former Tennessee quarterback Jarrett Guarantano this week.

Guarantano played at Tennessee from 2016 to 2020 before spending his final season of eligibility at Washington State.

The former Vol is No. 7 on Tennessee's career passing yards list (6,174 career passing yards). Guarantano also has the fourth most passing yards ever in a game by a Tennessee quarterback (415 passing yards against Missouri in 2019).

After going undrafted in 2022, Guarantano spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and the Denver Broncos. He was also a member of the Houston Roughnecks this spring before suffering a neck injury that sidelined him for a month.

If Guarantano lands with the Giants, he'll be reunited with a couple of his former Vols teammates (wide receiver Jalin Hyatt and running back Eric Gray).
